Started in April 1998, the centre conducts the following charitable activities: 

Vivekananda Pathatirtha, the primary school for urban underprivileged children. They are provided free tiffin, books, clothes, medicines etc.

A free Coaching Centre from class II to VIII. They are also provided free tiffin, books, clothes and study material  etc.

Sevangan, the charitable dispensary shifted to its own premises on 8th July, 2005. In February 2001, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation leased out 10 Katthas of land close to the centre for setting up the medical unit.
