As every year, the Math headquarters also undertook welfare activities :
- Financial help amounting to Rs. 35,491 was rendered
to needy women at Dakshineswar. No. of beneficiaries :

- Educational help of Rs. 83,874was given to poor
students at Dakshineswar. No. of beneficiaries : occasional :

- 450 kg Chhatu worth Rs. 19,800was distributed among
557 needy women and children of Dakshineswar locality.
- Sarees and clothes were distributed among 2180 women
and children of Dakshineswar locality. Amount spent :
Rs. 1,79,160.
- Financial help amounting to Rs. 22,892 was given for
medical treatment to needy patients at Dakshineswar. No. of
beneficiaries : occcasional 40, monthly 4.
- 6000 blankets worth Rs. 7,50,000 were distributed around
Dakshineswar and Baladbandh and through the Mission
Centres in Burdwan, Thakurnagar, Gangarampore, Siriti, the
Matribhavan, Nivedita School the Math branch at Bhubaneswar
and through Chamryil Sarada Samiti.

As every year, Sri Sarada Math, Chennai under a project sponsored by the Rotary Club, Ambattur Branch, Tamil Nadu, distributed among 20 students (age group 8 to 12) sleeping kits containing light bedding, utensils, uniform-dresses, school bags etc.. Educational aid was given to 101 students while pecuni ary help was given to needy people. Flood relief was also given by the Chennai Math in two districts, Tanjore and Tiruvarur in Tamil Nadu on 4th and 5th January to 75 needy families in each district. Sarees and blouses, dhoties and towels, bed sheets, children's garments, mats, rice etc. worth about Rs. 1,000 for each family were distributed among the victims.
The Nivedita School distributed sarees and clothes worth Rs. 78,990 among 640 poor women and children; the Siriti centre also distributed clothing worth Rs. 72,625 among 607 needy women and children, while the New Delhi centre spent Rs. 1,34,140 for distribution of woollen and cotton garments, food, medicines as well as pecuniary help to the needy (No. of beneficiaries: 265).

The following centres continued to help students in various ways : the Sister Nivedita Girls1 School, the Ashrama, the Vivekananda Vidyabhavan, the Shiksha Mandir and the Siriti centre in Kolkata, the village centres in West Bengal and the centres in New Delhi, Khonsa, Thiruvananthapuram and Indore. The Nivedita School conducted a coaching class for slum children of Baghbazar area, whereas the Shiksha Mandir ran an informal school for basti children of Alambazar. The centre in New Delhi also conducted educational work for poor children of Shahpurjat village as well as for basti children of Hauz Khas area, and gave financial help to students of different schools for pursuing their studies. The centre also conducted adult education classes for women and a tailoring class.
During the year, the Mission spent a total of Rs. 88,57,014 while the Math spent Rs. 71,78,813 towards relief, welfare and rural uplift work.
