Ajayaprana meets His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI
The Catholic Church's World Youth
Day Festival took place in Sydney from July 15th to
20th, 2008. The Ramakrishna Sarada Vedanta Society
was invited to participate in several activities connected
with this important event. Among other programmes,
on July 17th there was an Interfaith Forum which was
attended by about 1000 people from all over the World.
There were speeches by representatives of different
religions among whom Pravrajika Ajayaprana, Head of
our Sydney Centre spoke on Hinduism. A question-answer
session followed in which the youth panel took active
part. On July 18th, Pravrajika Ajayaprana along with
a group of 40 invitees attended an Interfaith Meeting
with His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI. Each invitee
met the Pope, one by one, and was presented with a
medallion as a token of this great event.
Branch Centers:
194 candidates of Sri Sarada
Girls' School at Thrissur appeared at the Secondary
Examination (S.S.L.C.) 2008 of whom 190 passed, while
166 students appeared at the Higher Secondary Examination
2008 and 161 passed.
